Sonia playing down the situation in Kashmir, says Geelani

Srinagar, MTT News Desk: A day after the Congress President, Sonia Gandhi expressed satisfaction over what she said “remarkable progress” made in Occupied State of Jammu & Kashmir (OSJK), the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Syed Ali Shah Geelani has said that Sonia is deliberately playing down the situation in OSJK to conceal the realities.

Syed Ali Shah Geelani in a statement in Srinagar said, “The statement of Gandhi (Sonia) is nothing but a crude joke with the people of Kashmir. The drama is enacted with an eye on the next year’s General Elections.”

Sonia has expressed satisfaction over “remarkable progress” made in the territory but emphasised the need to “take note of the cry of pain and anguish” emanating from the people.

The APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, demanded the return of the mortal remains of Muhammad Afzal Guru and Muhammad Maqbool Butt.

If Congress president is sincere in resolving Kashmir issue then she should accept the demand of the Kashmiris on priority and return the mortal remains to their families,” Geelani said.

Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who is also the President of Jammu & Kashmir Tahreek e Hurriyat (TeH), said that since the Congress president herself was a woman she can well understand the pain of a woman who was even not allowed to meet her husband prior to his execution, Geelani referred to the widow of Muhmammad Afzal Guru.

The APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Shah Geelani criticised the Congress for continuation of the draconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA).

India crossed all limits of cruelty, Says Geelani

Srinagar, MTT News Desk: In Occupied State of Jammu & Kashmir (OSJK), the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Syed Ali Shah Geelani has said that India and its puppet authorities in OSJK have crossed all limits of cruelty in Kashmir by resorting to killings, frequent arrests, use of pepper gas and ransacking of residential houses.

Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who is under house arrest in Srinagar after his arrival from New Delhi on Thursday, in a media interview via phone said that arrests, curfews and restrictions could not weaken the Kashmiris resolve for their fight against Indian repression.

The battle we are fighting is between truth and injustice. History is testimony to the fact that truth has always prevailed. I am sure victory will be ours, the APHC Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani said.

Geelani aid that Kashmir is witnessing the fallout of the secret hanging of Muhammad Afzal Guru that a youth from Pulwama was murdered at Hyderabad in India and another youth was killed in cold blood in Baramulla town.

He said, Everybody is aware of the treatment meted out to me in New Delhi. I was put under house arrest for 19 days. Such were the restrictions on me that policemen stayed inside my room for 32 hours.

Syed Ali Shah Geelani said that Indian army is not only on the killing spree in Occupied State of Jammu & Kashmir (OSJK) but also arresting minors and even ransacking the public property.

Geelani said that the blood of martyrs would not be allowed to go waste.

The Tahreek e Hurriyat (TeH) spokesman, Dr Ghulam Muhammad Ganai, in a media interview said that Indian armed forces have arrested Kashmiri youth and an aged man Muhammad Yasin Malik for raising pro-freedom slogans on the arrival of Syed Ali Shah Geelani at the Srinagar airport. He strongly condemned the arrests and the highhandedness of police.

In the meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL) and the Jamaat e Islami of Occupied State of Jammu & Kashmir (OSJK) have said that the Indian government and its puppet authorities are suppressing the people of Kashmir through use of brute force.

The DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Kashmiris demand for return of mortal remains of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru from New Delhis Tihar Jail to the territory was gaining momentum with every passing day but the authorities were trying to suppress the legitimate and democratic demand of people by dint of force.

The JKPFL spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned the killing of a youth, Tahir Ahmad Sofi, in Baramulla by Indian troops with indiscriminate firing and arrest of students by the Indian police. He said that such tactics could not demoralize the people of Kashmir and they would continue their struggle for securing their right to self-determination till complete success.

He appealed to the international human rights organisations to impress upon India to stop its state terrorism in the Occupied Kashmir, OSJK. He also urged the United Nations to take serious and solid steps for peaceful settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute.

The Jamaat e Islami of OSJK in its statement strongly denounced the arrest spree started by the Indian authorities in OSJK. It said that hundreds of innocent people mostly youth had been apprehended and they were being subjected to physical torture in various police stations and interrogation centre.

The Jamaat also condemned the house arrest of the Chairman of APHC, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, on his return from New Delhi. It said that all these actions were anti-democratic and symbol of autocracy. It demanded an immediate halt to Indian state terrorism in the territory.

MMM Denounces stepped up Indian state terrorism in OSJK

Srinagar, MTT News Desk: In Occupied State of Jammu & Kashmir (OSJK), Muttahida Majlis e Mushawrat (MMM), has strongly condemned the reign of terror and suppression let loose by India and its puppet authorities in OSJK.

The MMM in a statement issued in Srinagar said, Such repressive measures by India had neither dampened the courage and spirit of people in the past nor will do it in future. It said that the Indian government tried these repressive tactics in 2008, 2009 and 2010, but it could never dampen the freedom sentiment.

The statement pointed out that on one hand, the pro-India politicians were in the forefront of perpetrating all atrocities on people, while one the other, they were shedding crocodile tears in the so-called Kashmir Assembly.

Muttahida Majlis-e-Mushawrat (MMM), is the representative forum of pro-liberation organizations spearheading the campaign of return of the mortal remains of Kashmiri leaders, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru, from New Delhis Tihar Jail to Kashmir.

The Grand Mufti of Occupied State of Jammu & Kashmir (OSJK), Mufti Bashir-ud-Din, terming the current situation in the territory as extremely grim has said that the government of India has once again set Kashmir on fire.

The Grand Mufti in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the killing of Tahir Rasool Sofi by Indian troops in Baramulla and hanging of research scholar, Mudasir Kamran, in Hyderabad, India, seemed to be connected incidents.

The Government of India continues with its policy of treating Kashmiris as bonded slaves and subjecting them to the worst suppression and repression. Sometimes it plays political gimmicks and sometimes it uses worst repressive measures to realize its interest, he stated.

Mufti Bashir-ud-Din denounced the use of indiscriminate force by Indian police and troops against peaceful protesters and imposition of curfew and restrictions in the occupied Valley. We also condemn smashing doors and windowpanes of houses in different areas of the Valley by the armed forces, he added.

Inqilabi concerend over Indian Anti-Kashmir policies

Srinagar, MTT News Desk: In Occupied State of Jammu & Kashmir (APHC), APHC leader and the Chief Patron of Jammu and Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA), Muhammad Azam Inqilabi, has expressed serious concern over increase in anti-Kashmir actions of Indian government.

Muhammad Azam Inqilabi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India hanged Afzal Guru to intimidate the Kashmiris into submission. He said that arrogant Indian leaders should understand that they could not achieve anything by martyring lakhs of Kashmiris. He said that New Delhi had broken all records of brutalities in OSJK.

Kashmiris on either side of the LoC hate Indian occupation and there is deep seated alienation against its rule, he said, adding that this alienation among Kashmiri youth would erupt like a volcano and Indian guns would not be able to stop the tide then.

The APHC leader deplored that New Delhi had started tightening noose around pro-resistance leadership. Be it Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Syed Ali Gilani, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Dr Qasim, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Masarrat Aalam, they all are identity of Kashmiri nation.

The MeA patron extended his support to the programmes announced by the Muttahida Majlis-e-Mushawrat constituted by the pro-liberation organisations to seek the mortal remains of Kashmiri leaders, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru.

He said that the Kashmiris would continue their struggle till the objective of right of self-determination was realized. He also urged the pro-India politicians to shun electoral politics and join the ranks of freedom struggle.

Afzal Guru hanged to force Kashmiris to accept India, says Inqilabi

Srinagar, MTT News Desk: Chief Patron Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) Muhammad Azam Inqilabi Monday expressed concern over increase in anti-Kashmir actions of Delhi darbar.

In a statement here, Inqilabi said Indian imperialists have stepped-up an offensive on Kashmiris.

They (Indian government) hanged Afzal Guru so as to force Kashmiris into submission. But arrogant Indian leaders should understand that what else have they achieved other than martyring one lakh Kashmiris, he said.

MeA patron said Kashmiris on either side of Loc hate Indian occupation and there is deep seated alienation against its rule.

He said alienation among Kashmir youth will erupt like a volcano and Indian guns wont be able to stop the tide then.

Inqilabi said India has broken all records of Pharaon, Namrood, Chengiz and Halaku in Kashmir.

Indian government has started tightening noose around pro-resistance leadership. Be it Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Yasin Malik, Shabir Shah, Nayeem Khan, Dr. Qasim, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Masarat Aalam− they all are identity of this nation.

MeA patron extended his support to the United Advisory Council .

It is a welcome step. Pro-freedom leadership has formed the advisory council to seek mortal remains of Afzal Guru and Maqbool Bhat and about other issues related to movement, we will support their programs, he said.

We have reposed trust on Allah and we will continue our struggle till the objective of right of self-determination is realized, he added.

Inqilabi appealed pro-India politicians in Kashmir to shun electoral politics and join the ranks of freedom struggle. This will be a clear message to Delhi liege lords that they are not sincere. They promised plebiscite in Kashmir and later brazenly reneged on their promise.

He also appealed Pakistani leadership that besides extending moral support to Kashmir cause keep in mind the green agricultural land of theirs as well as India is aiming to turn them into a barren land by diverting Kashmir rivers.

He said OIC should form a group of experts to analyze the expansionist policies of India.

Amarnath Yatra schedule unacceptable, Says APHC

Srinagar, MTT News Desk: In Occupied State of Jammu & Kashmir (OSJK), the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Led by the President of Jammu & Kashmir Tahreek e Hurriyat (TeH) termed the Amarnath Yatra as unacceptable, scheduled recently by the Amarnath Shrine Board.

The APHC has said that it will prove disastrous for ecology of the territory.

The APHC at its Executive Council meeting in Srinagar chaired by its General Secretary, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, said that the Shrine Board, without taking into consideration the suggestions and objections raised by experts, announced the schedule in a autocratic way.

The APHC said that the decision would prove disastrous for the ecology, environment, forests and water resources of the territory.

The meeting observed that the civil society, peoples representatives and experts in environment and forestry had been urging the authorities for limiting and decreasing the Yatra duration and number of yatris. But the Shrine Board works like a state within the state, said a spokesman of the forum, strongly castigating the role and silence of the puppet authorities on the matter.

Reiterating the demand of handing over the administration of Shrine Board to local Pandits, members of the Executive Council decided that they would intensify the public awareness campaign by meeting all sections of people and will apprise them of the stand adopted by the forum with regard to Amarnath Yatra.

Understanding the dynamics of resistance

By Azam Inqilabi

Devotional affinity, proclivity and propensity for a cause − personal, social or political −forms the cornerstone of all the factors which motivate and inspire a man to scramble for the accomplishment of a cherished objective with enthusiasm and fervour. So devout adherent of a cause is, in fact, a repository of an indwelt intuitional urge to remain wedded and committed to his sacrosanct objective with unshakeable resolve and determination. The splendour of sobriety, probity and propriety of a devout activist ideally glamourizes his demeanour and struggle. His devotional zest and zeal accentuates and glorifies his missionary pursuit of the objective which is so dear to him.

Ostensibly-flamboyant political and religious leaders are basically doctrinists who feel overwhelmed by exuberant and ebullient sentiments of subjective assertion for an altruistic, populistic and egalitarian objective. They are, in fact, idealists who perpetually nurture seemingly romantic and innovative ideas for a change. They remain metaphysically engrossed and absorbed in a process of emotional metamorphosis which fructifies in the form of symbiotic communion of revolutionary ideas and notions. Sheikh Hasan-ul-Banna and Syed Qutub, the doctrinists of Egyptian revivalist Islamic movement Ikhwan-ul-Muslimoon, were passionate proponents of Islamic revivalism and renaissance. They were neither pedantic theorists nor doctrinaire romanticists. They were pragmatists and rationalists who believed that puritan transfiguration and transformation of Muslim society was achievable objective. So their objectivity was aimed at the revival of caliphate (Khalafat). The accumulative momentum of the Ikhwan movement was an eyesore to the Egyptian self-centred and egotistic rulers who were, in fact, mavericks believing in hedonism, revelry and joie de vivre. Hypocrisy of the haughty rulers conviently facilitated the assassination of Sheikh Hasan-ul-Banna on Feb. 12, 1949. The popular pioneer of the revivalist movement was 43 when bullets of the morally barren and bankrupt rulers pierced through his chest. Sheikh Hasans martyrdom imbued his followers with hope and optimism. They remained asserting for their cause with added resolve. Syed Qutub, the author of 24 books (including Tafseer Fee Dalalil Quran), was a prominent pillar of his pro-Ikhwan movement. President Jamal Nasir, the dictator averse to the caliphate movement of Ikhwan-ul Muslimoon, connived with his sleazy coterie to facilitate the execution of Syed Qutub who had already undergone untold suffering and hardships during his 11-year detention and confinement. Eventually the 80-year-old Egyptian revivalist movement culminated in the coronation of Mr. Mursi as the democratic revivalist ruler of Islamic Republic of Egypt in 2012. This is how the burgeoning and plethoric revolutionary sentiments of Egyptian doctrinists got materialized; and their sustained struggle was, thus, crowned with success.

It was the monotheistic resolve of Egyptian doctrinists which successfully resisted the onslaught of the dictatorial and totalitarian dispensation there. So, in the dynamics of revivalist resistance of Egypt, monotheistic idealism and conviction played a pivotal and definitive role indeed. Now we understand why the eyes of pensive adherents of revivalism there become glaringly lustrous and glittery when they recite the verse of the Holy Quran: Dont feel dejected and disheartened; you will certainly emerge victorious if you are momineen (sincere adherents of Islamic faith) (Surah Al-Imran-139).

Martyrdom of every doctrinist marks the beginning of a change; his martyrdom, in fact, delineates and portrays the preludial and precursory success of his movement. Syed Ahmad Barailvi, who achieved the objective of martyrdom on May 6 1831 (Zequadah 24, 1246 A.H.) at Balakote was the harbinger of what was christened as Pakistan movement when Muslim League, in its convention at Lahore, passed a resolution on March 23 1940 propounding the concept of a separate and sovereign Muslim state. Ten thousand Muslim scholars and clerics, all doctrinists symbolizing and typifying the sentiments of patriotism and monotheistic commitment, were martyred by British colonialists during the revolt of 1857 A.D. Quaid-e-Azam M. A. Jinnah, as an adept revolutionary jurist, adroitly capitalized on the heroic sacrifices of these martyrs to carve out an ideological Muslim state. Bhagat Singh, the revolutionary patriotic doctrinist, was gibbeted on March 23 1931 by the British imperialists for no fault of the patriotic warrior except that he was a committed freedom maximalist determined to take on the alien rulers even at the cost of his life. Monotheistic doctrinist and Mujahid Ashfaq Majeed Wani was martyred on March 30 1990 by Indian soldiers for no fault of the overzealous and uncompromising Kashmiri freedom zealot except that the 23-year-old revolutionary played a role that was reminiscent of the subjective assertion of 23-year-old freedom votary Bhagat Singh. The two coeval revolutionaries were coequal in patriotic resolve and militant initiative too.

Doctrinist Maqbool Butt, the protomartyr whose patriotism was based on monotheistic subjectivity and khudi, was an ideal guerrilla strategist who, with scientific precision and empirical appraisal, would determine the course of his militant manoeuvre. He literally jolted and unhinged his adversary in 1976 when he re-entered Kashmir valley to reorganize the revolutionary cadres here. Arrogance of the victors and triumphalists of 1971 war, which resulted in the dismemberment of great Pakistan, and abject capitulation of Sheikh Abdullah, the author of Indira-Abdullah accord of 1974, turned out to be a definitive in instigating Maqbool for militant assertion in 1976. Maqbool was arrested and lodged in Tihar jail where he had to languish for eight years in solitary confinement till Feb. 11 1984 when he faced the gallows at 7:30 AM morning of Saturday to become proud protomartyr of Kashmir.Maqbools presence in Kashmir valley as resilient guerrilla strategist and adventurist proved instrumental in neutralizing the trends of defeatism and escapism. He instilled hope and confidence into the hearts of freedom votaries here. Delhi hawkish rulers were rash and brash in their administrative protrusion when they decided to hang Maqbool. Thus the brinkmanship of impetuous and obstreperous Delhi liege lords proved counterproductive. All the young revolutionaries of Kashmir vowed on Feb. 11- 1984 to requite for the judicial rowdyism and peremtoriness and authoritarianism of Indian system. And July 31 1988 was the day one when Kashmiri Mujahideen began to provide every sort of impetus to perfectly indigenous and endogenous insurgency of Kashmir to give a rebuff and rebuttal to Delhi rulers. The upheaval and political cataclysm here forced the free world to take cognizance of the volatile situation, uncertainty and unpredictability that was writ large here. And today Kashmir is a nuclear flashpoint in South Asia.

In a situation when political escapades, reveries and eccentricities of hawks in Indian system are stoking the flames of belligerency, animosity and antagonism between India and Pakistan, Delhi rulers cannot disavow and disclaim the onus of accountability in the comity of nations. And culpability becomes an issue here. Remember that nuclear weapons and missiles of India and Pakistan cannot intimidate, browbeat and cow down the freedom loving people of Kashmir. And ultras would want to add to the vulnerability of India and Pakistan. Indolence, ineptitude, dereliction, imprudence, vapidity and passivity of rulers of India and Pakistan is no answer to the fluid situation. Fluff and mythomania of Indian media vitiates the atmosphere of cordiality. Who will chasten it? Is Salman Khursheed, the foreign minister of India, really serious when he says, It is not advisable that the two nuclear powers, India and Pakistan, bequeath the legacy of wars to coming generations as shabby bequest? A pertinent question haunts the mind of every pacifist. Who will solve the Kashmir problem which has already bedeviled and embittered the relations of the two neighbouring countries of South Asia? Indian and Pakistani rulers, while trying to understand the dynamics of resistance in Kashmir, Palestine and Afghanistan with meticulous care and objectivity, should develop, through chemistry of sustained interaction and discourse, a viable system of compulsive political codependency. That is how trends of war can be checkmated and thwarted. And that is a way to fortify mutual trust and understanding which is indispensably paramount as prerequisite for peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue.

Hallucinatory and illusory ambience of peace enforced by your stratocracy in Kashmir is something which the sane and visionary altruists and futurists of India cannot afford to bank on. Very recollection of the sacred blood of six lakh martyrs lying buried in 500 cemeteries of Kashmir makes an average Kashmiri feel agonized and traumatized. His inquisitive eyes are looking for a change and transition from debilitating serfdom to freedom. So Kashmiris should be allowed to exercise their right to self-determination. That is the bottom line in Kashmir tangle.

Kashmir Solidarity Day: 5th February 2013

By Zaheerul Hassan

All over the world Pakistani community will display unity and solidarity with Kashmiris on 5 February 2013. Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed on 5 Feb each year since 1990 in Pakistan as a day of protest against Indian Occupied Kashmir (IHK). The disputed state is located north of India. 139,000 Sq Km (53,700 Sq Mi) with population of over 10 million (2001) Kashmir state is bounded to the west by Pakistan. 740 Km Line-of-Control separates it from Azad Kashmir and in the East by Ladakh, Tibet and Aksian China. The state is drained by numerous rivers which include Indus, Zanskar, Suru, Nubra Shyok, Jhelum, and Chinab. The valley is known as heaven on earth because of its scenic beauty, Chinar, Deodar and Alpine trees, grassy slopes full of flowers, fresh water lakes, waterfalls, crystal blue sky and snow covered high peaks and brave inhabitants of the valley.

Kashmiris are raising slogans of annexation with Pakistan since the day, when Hari Singh, Maharaja of Jammu & Kashmir against the wishes of locals announced its accession with India in October 1947. However, Kashmir Movement basically started on the day when British have sold Kashmiris territory to Sikh ruler under a contract deed. However the moment which was started in 1931 against Dogra rule is still going on since Kashmiri still deprived of basic human rights.

Anyhow, on coming 05 February all Pakistani with their Kashmiris brothers will pay homage to martyrs and express solidarity with Kashmiri people who are still languishing under the yoke of Indian repression. On 26 January of this year Kashmiris all over the globe have also observed Indian Republic Day as Black Day.

Pakistani masses are determined to display unity and solidarity with Kashmiris and condemn Indian violation of Human rights in Kashmir too. It is evident that since 1989 to 15 October 2012, total killing of innocent individuals were 93,801, custodial killings in various camps and jails were 6,996. Overall 1, 20,392 individuals have been arrested, structural damaged have been done to the property was 1, 05,955. Moreover 22,764 women have been injured and suffered with severe injuries, 10,042 women have been gang raped or molested and over 1, 07,441 kids have become orphaned.

Notably, hundreds of serving Indian soldiers including senior officers are involved in widespread human rights abuses in Indian Held Kashmir, as reported by Daily Guardian reports. The article published in the United Kingdoms leading daily gives reference to report by a team of veteran legal activists in the Himalayan state that names 500 alleged perpetrators ranging from low-ranking policemen to Indian army generals. The writer Jason Burke based in Delhi says the charges relate to incidents occurring throughout more than 20 years of violence pitting armed religious and freedom fighters groups against New Delhis rule in Held Kashmir and include shootings, abductions, torture and rapes.

Indeed, the issue of Jammu and Kashmir is the oldest unresolved issue on the agenda of the UNO. From January 1948 to May 1971, the organization has passed twenty seven resolutions and carried out many debates/discussions concerning Jammu and Kashmir. In this connection UN Security Council Resolutions number 91, 96 of 1951 and Resolution Number 98 of 1952 have very clearly stated plebiscite. In all of its resolutions, including resolutions of United Nations Commission for India and Pakistan (UNCIP), UN asked India for a fair and impartial plebiscite to decide the future status of Jammu and Kashmir as per the wishes of the its subjects.

Late Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru though initially agreed in 1948 and during Sino- India war of 1962 but declined to implement the UN resolutions and abiding by the promise of settling down the Kashmir issue with Pakistan after the war. Both the countries have fought four wars over the issue. In this regard, number of bilateral talks including Confidential Building Measures (CBMs) have been held on the issue but India always tried to sideline it whereas , contrary to it Pakistan have made serious efforts to crystallize the issue with a view to resolve the conflict under UN resolutions.

In this connection, at times Islamabad preferred to discuss others issues of CBMs, but New Delhi never ever shown encouraging reaction in relation to Kashmir problem. New Delhi has been stressing to strengthen the Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) with Islamabad to normalise the relations between two capitals, but she always shown reluctance in discussing the Kashmir and water problems as major issues between two capitals. She has never given any positive signal of taking a step forward for settling the Kashmir conflict rather preferred to put it aside on the name of continuation of peace process. .

Resultantly, the tension escalated when Indian soldiers crossed over the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir on January 6, this year and attacked a Pakistani check post in Haji Pir setor, killing one Pakistani soldier and injuring many troops. Besides, Indian troops shot dead another Pakistani soldier at Hotspring on the LoC on January 10 and 16 January of this year. Indian political and military elite is trying to create war phobia while; Postponing Indian PM visit to Islamabad, stopping scheduled visit of their negotiation team on Wuller barrage, returning back of players of Pakistani hockey team, protest against Pakistani cultural ambassadors, stopping Pakistani embassy staff from visit Jaipur, threatening to Pakistan by Indian Army and Air Forces Chiefs on LoC clash and warning residents of Kashmir to build underground bunkers to prepare for a possible nuclear, biological and chemical war. Purpose of the said Indian campaign is to malign Pakistan and create hype before elections too.

In fact, Kashmir issue always remained very tricky and touchy aspect in internal and external Indo-Pakistan politics. We should admit from the outset that none of the government is in a position to delink Kashmir issue independently from their local traditional politics; therefore win-win solution would be the answer of resolving the issue, i.e. division of Kashmir while taking Kashmiris into confidence.

South Asian security situation is also directly linked with the Kashmir problem due to the history of the wars between India and Pakistan. Moreover regional Geopolitics, where gets stimuli from the interference of super powers there it too influences by the factors like natural resources, geographical features, agro economy, need of hydro generation, strategically vital locations and development of nuclear capability. The regional security gets threatened due to the lust of capture of natural resources by any powerful regional actor and pinching issue like Kashmir. Thus, we can say that resolving of issue between two nuclear sates get more importance because ignition may push the region into nuclear conflict.

Thus, we can say that permanent regional peace cannot be established without resolving issues of Siachen, Sir Creek, Wullar Barrage, water and especially main dispute of Kashmir. Pakistani masses are standing shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brothers for the liberation of Kashmir.

Geelani reiterates terms of Talks with India on Kashmir

Srinagar, MTT News Desk: In Occupied State of Jammu & Kashmir (OSJK), the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman, Syed Ali Shah Geelani reiterating conditions for any talks with India has asked New Delhi to create a conducive atmosphere for resolution of the Kashmir dispute by taking several confidence building measures.

The spokesman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) in a statement in Srinagar in response to the puppet minister Ali Mohammad Sagar’s speech, said that the APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Shah Geelani had asked India to accept Kashmir as a dispute, announce demilitarization, revoke draconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and release all prisoners.

Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Who is also the President of Jammu & Kashmir Tahreek e Hurriyat (TeH) said that the talks should not be aimed at coercing people of Occupied State of Jammu & Kashmir (OSJK).

Ali Mohammad Sagar had asked the Hurriyet leadership to enter the dialogue process.

The APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Shah Geelani said that APHC had been saying that for the resumption of dialogue process, a suitable ground should be prepared and certain conditions need to be fulfilled.

Delhi is expecting us to enter into a dialogue but on the other hand they have not stopped committing human rights violations. We wont be a party to this kind of dialogue process. We will not go to Delhi for a cup of tea, he said.

It is true that a complicated dispute will only be solved through dialogue process. But a dialogue process should be based on honesty from both the sides. One is where both parties to the dispute are in favour of finding a lasting solution but the other is who want people of Kashmir to bring into submission by giving them some favours, the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, the veteran leader addressing a Seerat conference organised by the Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir in Srinagar said that India was perpetrating the worst kind of state terrorism in Occupied State of Jammu & Kashmir (OSJK).
