Complete shutdown in OSJK observed on Geelani’s call

Complete shutdown in OSJK observed on Geelani's callSrinagar, MTT News Desk: In Occupied State of Jammu & Kashmir (OSJK), complete shutdown was observed, to honour the innocent Kashmiri youth killed by Indian armed forces during the peaceful uprisings of the last three years.

Call for the shutdown had been given by the APHC chairman and the President of Jammu & Kashmir Tahreek e Hurriyat (TeH), Syed Ali Shah Geelani, that was also aimed at expressing solidarity with the illegally detained Kashmiris. All shops, business establishments, courts and banks remained closed while traffic was off the road.

The Indian occupation authorities had imposed undeclared curfew and other restrictions in Srinagar to prevent people from conducting a march towards Eidgah, call for which had been given by Syed Ali Shah Gilani.

Senior APHC leaders, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi and Shabbir Ahmed Shah in their separate statements in Srinagar said that sacrifices of the Kashmiri martyrs, which had centre-staged the Kashmir dispute at the global level, would not be allowed to go waste.
